There’s excitement around the team and we just have to keep things going. We aren’t satisfied and we’re hungry. We’re going through some adversity right now. We have a little bit of Kevin and Cisco injury déjà vu, but guys are stepping up and taking on new roles, and it has been really good and really positive. We just want to keep things going.
Inside Look at New Kings

What’s up Kings fans?
We have a lot of new faces on the team, so it has been a good experience playing with everyone during training camp. Tyreke, Omri and Jon have a lot of confidence. They’re not your average rookies, and Coach Westphal has helped them gain confidence by giving them minutes in preseason. We’re not a veteran team or a team that has been together for awhile, so it’s good to get these games in and the more games we have, the more comfortable we’ll be out there.

What’s up Kings fans?
I just want to invite you all out to the Draft Party at ARCO Arena on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. We have the fourth pick and two other picks following that so it should be a lot of fun to see the new pieces added to the puzzle.
I’ve been working hard this off-season between the East Coast and Sacramento. Check out what I’ve been up to in my Kings.com sit-down interview.
Hope to see you all at the party!
Rookie Finale

I’m blogging from where I started my rookie season and it’s crazy this is where I’m finishing it, too. It’s been a long season but this great experience as a rookie has to come to an end.
I’ve pretty much seen everything in my first season. I joke around with the media sometimes, saying I could write a book just about this season Read more
Career Establishment

We had a special night at ARCO Arena last Tuesday, Kings legend Vlade Divac had his #21 jersey retired. It was the second time this season I was able to see a former Kings great get their jersey retired. Just to see how much hard work he and C-Webb put in, I can kind of understand what it must have felt like because I had chills and it wasn’t even my jersey being put up in the rafters. So I can only imagine how they felt and how much this city means to them.
That game a lot of you probably noticed ‘Lil Wayne was in the building. The night before, he performed at ARCO and Donté, Spencer and I got a nice suite. It was a good concert and the second time I had seen him on his tour — I saw him in Houston. But it was nice to have a packed crowd for the Hornets game and also have Wayne in attendance.

In a Legend’s Footsteps

We came into ARCO Arena against the Suns on Sunday against my Twitter competitor @THE_REAL_SHAQ. I think NBA.com mentioned it was a Twitter competition between @jtthekid and @THE_REAL_SHAQ. I don’t have as many tweeps as him because I’m not a legend like he is but hopefully I can come in second in tweeps in the NBA or lead all rookies. That’d be a good accomplishment.
A Memorable Week

Last week, we finished our East Coast road trip in New York. It was a lot of fun because I got to go to Times Square and also spend some time in New Jersey with my family. A lot of my friends and family came to the game to see my first time playing in Madison Square Garden and we played a great game. We started off strong and came out with the victory.
