April 12, 2010 - At ARCO Arena, Kevin Martin made his first visit back to Sacramento since the trade and led all scorers with 39 points in leading the Rockets to a 117-107 win over the Kings. Tyreke Evans tallied a team-high 24 points, with his two free throws with 6:46 left in the fourth quarter securing a 20-point, five-rebound, five-assist season average to join only Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James as the only players to average those numbers in their rookie season. The Kings jumped out to an early 40-28 lead after the first quarter, but the Rockets overtook the Kings, 80-79, on Trevor Ariza’s three-pointer with 2:35 left in the third quarter. With the score tied, 99-99, the Rockets took control of the game by outscoring the Kings, 14-4, for a 113-103 lead with 3:03 remaining in the fourth quarter. Carl Landry tallied 19 points and Jason Thompson grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Ariza finished with 29 points. Chuck Hayes and Jared Jeffries each grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Sacramento converted 14 Houston turnovers into 28 points.

DALLAS 126, SACRAMENTO 108
April 10, 2010 - At ARCO Arena, Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 39 points and Jason Kidd recorded his second triple-double of the season (and his 105th of his career) with 11 points, a game-high 10 rebounds, and 13 assists in lifting the Mavericks past the Kings, 126-108. Dallas led throughout the game with its largest lead of 25 points, late in the third quarter. Nowitzki almost single-handedly outscored the Kings in the third quarter, tallying 13 straight points to close out the quarter and accounted for 22 of the Mavericks’ 35 points (Kings had 26). Carl Landry led the Kings with 30 points, one shy of his career high. Tyreke Evans tallied 27 points, a team-high eight rebounds, and six assists. Jason Terry added 25 points off the bench for the Mavericks, who swept the regular season series against the Kings, 4-0. Nowitzki made all 13 of his free throw attempts to extend his consecutive made free throw streak to 68. The Kings outrebounded the Mavericks, 41-36, but were outshot, .471 to .532. Dallas made 13-of-21 from beyond the three-point arc.

SACRAMENTO 116, LA CLIPPERS 94
April 8, 2010 - At ARCO Arena, Tyreke Evans scored a game-high 28 points and Jason Thompson recorded a double-double with 22 points and a game-high 15 rebounds help the Kings end an eight-game losing streak with a 116-94 win over the Clippers. Sacramento led by 16 points, 63-47, to begin the third quarter, but the Clippers cut the lead in half to trail by eight, 84-76, at the end of the quarter. The Kings used a 16-2 run to open the fourth quarter for a 22-point lead, 100-78, with 7:45 left in the game. In the fourth quarter, Sacramento outscored (32 to 18) and outshot (.650 to .400) the Clippers. Evans also recorded six rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Carl Landry also recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Clippers were led by Chris Kaman’s 23 points and DeAndre Jordan’s 10 rebounds off the bench. Eric Gordon added 21 points and Baron Davis notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists. Los Angeles dropped their seventh straight contest. The Kings outrebounded the Clippers, 47 to 32, and turned the ball over just nine times. Sacramento also matched a season-high with 50 field goals made.

SAN ANTONIO 95, SACRAMENTO 86
April 6, 2010 - At ARCO Arena, a balanced Spurs’ offense offset a game-high 22 points from Tyreke Evans and 20 points from Carl Landry to send the Kings to their eight straight setback, 95-86. With the score tied, 79-79, with 5:51 left in the fourth quarter, Manu Ginobili buried a three-pointer at the 4:50 mark to ignite a 12-0 run. The run was capped off by DeJuan Blair reverse lay-up with 1:30 remaining that gave the Spurs a 91-79 advantage. Donte Greene added 12 points and Beno Udrih scored 11 points. Sean May tallied 10 points off the bench. Six Spurs scored in double figures, led by Richard Jefferson’s 18 points. Tim Duncan (10 points, 10 rebounds) and Antonio McDyess (12 points, a game-high 11 rebounds) recorded double-doubles. Tony Parker returned to the Spurs lineup after missing the previous 16 games with a fractured fourth right metacarpal and finished with 13 points. Garrett Temple, who made his first NBA start at point guard, scored a career-high 15 points. San Antonio outrebounded Sacramento, 43-34.

PORTLAND 98, SACRAMENTO 87
April 3, 2010 - At ARCO Arena, four Blazers starters scored 20 or more points, led by Brandon Roy’s game-high 24 as Portland handed the Kings their seventh straight loss, 98-87. The Trail Blazers closed the game out on a 10-2 run after the Kings had closed to within three, 88-85, with 4:04 left in the fourth quarter. Beno Udrih led the Kings with 22 points and Jason Thompson, starting at center for the second straight contest, added 18 points. Carl Landry recorded 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Tyreke Evans was held to six points, only the fifth time all season he was held under double digits in scoring. Evans also recorded five rebounds, six assists, and one steal. Andre Miller tallied 23 points for the Blazers and Nicolas Batum and LaMarcus Aldridge each scored 21 points. Marcus Camby grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.

MINNESOTA 108, SACRAMENTO 99
March 31, 2010 - At the Target Center, three Kings scored 20 or more points but it wasn’t enough as the Timberwolves held off the Kings, 108-99, to end a 16-game losing streak. Minnesota led by as many as 20 points, 94-74, with 8:11 left in the fourth quarter. The Kings then went on a 16-2 run to trim Minnesota’s lead down to six, 96-90, with 3:08 remaining. Sacramento would close to within five, 104-99, after Tyreke Evans’ steal and break-away dunk with 47.1 seconds left, but Corey Brewer sealed the win with two free throws and a slam dunk off a steal. Carl Landry led all scorers with 22 points. Evans, in his second game back after missing five contests with a concussion, recorded 20 points, seven rebounds, a career-high-tying 13 assists and three steals. Donte Greene added 21 points off the bench. Evans, Landry, and Jason Thompson each grabbed a team-high seven boards. Three Minnesota players recorded double-doubles: Al Jefferson (19 points, a game-high 12 rebounds), Darko Milicic (15 points, 10 rebounds), and Kevin Love (12 points, 10 rebounds). Minnesota outshot (.561 to .461) and outrebounded (46-33) the Kings, finishing up their five-game road trip.

INDIANA 102, SACRAMENTO 95
March 30, 2010 - At Conseco Fieldhouse, Tyreke Evans returned to the Kings’ lineup after missing the last five game and recorded 17 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, and four steals, but Danny Granger tallied 25 of his game-high 33 points in the second half to give Indiana a 102-95 win. Sacramento led by nine, 58-49, to start the third quarter, but the Pacers used a 20-2 run for a 69-60 advantage with 4:14 left in the quarter. The Kings closed to within three, 79-76, at the 9:56 mark of the fourth quarter, but Indiana used a 10-2 run to build a 14-point lead, 92-78, with 6:16 remaining. Sacramento could not get closer than seven points the rest of the way. Beno Udrih and Jason Thompson led the Kings in scoring with 18 points. Evans, Thompson (18 points, a team-high 11 rebounds), and Carl Landry (17 points, 10 rebounds) recorded double-doubles. Troy Murphy also recorded a double-double with 19 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Jon Brockman returned to the Kings lineup after missing the last 20 games, but the Kings played without the services of Omri Casspi (virus), Francisco Garcia (sore right wrist), Sean May (bruised right knee), Dominic McGuire (torn right plantar fascia) and lost Spencer Hawes in the fourth quarter to a left hamstring contusion. Sacramento outrebounded Indiana, 49-35. Granger and Murphy combined for seven of the Pacers’ 12 three-pointers.

CLEVELAND 97, SACRAMENTO 90
March 28, 2010 - At the Quicken Loans Arena, an injury-plagued Kings squad played valiantly but the duo of LeBron James (34 points) and Antawn Jamison (26 points) proved too much in Cleveland’s 97-90 win. Sacramento began the game with just eight players available, and soon lost Dominic McGuire to a right plantar fascia strain at the 7:13 mark of the first quarter. Beno Udrih recorded his first career triple-double with 18 points, a career-high 10 rebounds, and 15 assists. Cleveland led by as many as 11 points, but the Kings caught up to them, tying the score at 60-60 with 9:02 left in the third quarter. With 3:25 left in the fourth quarter, the Kings closed to within four, 94-90, but James drilled a three-pointer with 2:02 remaining, all but sealing the Cavaliers’ win. Andres Nocioni led the Kings with 21 points off the bench and Carl Landry contributed 17 points. Jason Thompson recorded a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Jamison led the Cavaliers with nine rebounds. Zydrunas Ilgauskas made his return to the Cavaliers after being traded to Washington and having his contract bought out.

March 26, 2010 - At the TD Garden, Paul Pierce tallied 22 points and Ray Allen added 20 as the Celtics clinched the Atlantic Division with a 94-86 win over the Kings. The Celtics led by as many as 24 points in the third quarter, but the Kings fought back despite playing without Tyreke Evans (concussion) and losing the services of Francisco Garcia (sore right wrist) and Spencer Hawes (lower back strain) during the game. Boston led, 80-64, with 9:32 left in the fourth quarter before the Kings outscored them, 17-7, to cut the lead down to six, 87-81, with 3:12 remaining. The Kings’ bid for a comeback ended after the Celtics scored five straight points, punctuated by a Kevin Garnett slam dunk that gave the Celtics a 92-81 lead with 1:39 left. Carl Landry scored a game-high 30 points, one point shy of career high. Beno Udrih recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 assists. Donte Greene grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Garnett recorded a double-double with 18 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Rajon Rondo became the Celtics’ all-time leader in steals and finished with six points, four rebounds, 18 assists, and three steals.

NEW JERSEY 93, SACRAMENTO 79
March 24, 2010 - At the IZOD Center, the Kings struggled from the field as Brook Lopez tallied 26 points and 13 rebounds and Devin Harris added 24 points in lifting New Jersey to their eighth win of the season with a 93-79 triumph over the Kings. Sacramento, playing its third game without leading scorer Tyreke Evans, managed a season-low 79 points while shooting 35.8 percent from the field. The Nets used a 7-0 burst to turn a 47-45 lead into a 54-45 advantage early in the third quarter. The Kings never got closer than five points the rest of the way and trailed by as many as 17 late in the fourth quarter. Every Kings starter scored in double figures, led by Beno Udrih’s 19 points. However, Udrih (8-of-13) was the only player on the Kings to shoot 50 percent or better from the field taking more than one shot (Sean May was 1-of-1). Donte Greene recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Thompson led the Kings in rebounding with 11 off the bench. The win for the Nets ended an eight-game losing skid and a 14-game home losing streak.
