Kings surprised a lot of people early on. Now it's time for them to surprise D Howard and the Magic. It's been a week since we got Martin back. tonight Kmart and Reke finally lead the Kings over the hump.

  2. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 22nd, 2010 7:27 pm

OK. The rematch. The Kings need to answer Dwight Howard somehow. Score threes, open the floor, and play defense.
    Go Kings!

To make the KINGS more efficient, I have the following pairing suggestion

First Team: TK, Beno, Casspi, Brockman, JT
Bench Team: Martin, Hawes, Donte, Beno, Nocioni

Now Both teams have a monster scorer (TK and Martin).
I put Beno on both teams because he is so effective knowing when to share the ball and make shot.
it's better idea not to put TK and Martin on the same lineup.
Hawes and Martin have better chemistry.
JT, Brockman and Casspi can really clean up the board for the First team and Donte, Nocini and Hawes for Bench.

    What do you guys think?

    Now

I don't look for the Kings to win too many more games the way they've been playing.

  5. cuzzaveli on January 22nd, 2010 8:30 pm

i agree its time ta hurdle that hump and i know we can do it but we gotta be tougher inside. we gotta lift some weights are something were getting pushed around down low. chris webber never got push around down in the paint as a matter of fact he did the pushing. jason and hawes remind me of vladi and c-webb just so much softer they really need to bulk up. this season is done and next year we gotta get that solid big guy. teams better watch out after that because we will be a force to deal with. Ya know i hope the kings make me eat my words but i know they cant do it without a big man. seasons over better luck next year.

  6. zardoz on January 22nd, 2010 8:37 pm

if the ref 's would ever call a fair game we would win

  7. Airone on January 22nd, 2010 9:09 pm

I agree with you Zardoz, there is some hate for the Kings, don't know why.

  8. 2002* on January 22nd, 2010 9:31 pm

yeah , esp. in game 6 2002 , when we got that game and championship stolen . 27fts in the 4th quarter alone full of phantom calls .

  9. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 22nd, 2010 10:14 pm

The Kings got a veteran in Kenny Thomas. He is big enough to defend the paint and get rebounds. I would put KM in the game.

  10. khloe on January 22nd, 2010 10:14 pm

That's super sweet of the Kings organization to try to instill confidence into players (who are in a major slump). The headline reads:
–> "*JT* , Kings Battle Magic Today"

It's so weird, but thanks to our Rookies I always feel as though the kings have a chance to WIN (in spite of our losing record) :)

  11. khloe on January 22nd, 2010 10:18 pm

omg! stop torturing yourself! lol lol "phantom calls?" lol it's so sad, but when I read your posts, I can't help but to chuckle!

  12. khloe on January 22nd, 2010 10:21 pm

wow, i'm in LOVE with the starting line up. :)

  13. 2002* on January 22nd, 2010 10:53 pm

I believe when they lost to the lakers in in double overtime , thats when the slump started .
And i believe they should have won that game to , kobe pushed off with both arms , and stepped out of bounds , possible travel as well , but the refs wont call that on kobe , because the league is biased . But the kings only had to score 1 point under a min when they were up , and failed to do so , and it lowered there confidence , and moral .

Tyreke Evans is the star of this team. Actually, he’s more than that. He’s a soon-to-be great player that is feeding off the energy of one of those stars in Super Mario Bros that makes Mario blink like a Simon Says and bounce opponents off his barreling body. Hopefully, Kevin Martin can find his shot and give the Kings that one two punch they need from the perimeter.

  16. dug on January 22nd, 2010 11:51 pm

sorry but i don't care about having the nicest team in the league

  17. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 23rd, 2010 12:40 am

Kevin Martin needs to score. The Kings need more offense and a big in the middle. We are being steamed rolled by the other teams in the NBA. Kings have to get over that Laker game. Confidense is important. Championship teams no how to adjust after tough games. If the Kings keep scoring consistantly they can win the Magic.
Trading Kevin Martin could get the big defender the Kings are missing. Even the coaching staff knows that the Kings need a big. They are looking.
    Go Kings!

  18. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 23rd, 2010 1:11 am

Uh oh. 7 points in the Second Quarter. Ouch! We getting steam rolled with out big protection in the middle.
    Go Kings!

  19. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 23rd, 2010 1:14 am

Kings are playing flatter then a pizza ran over by a steam roller on Highway 5. :) I love this team!
    Go Kings!

  20. JTKingsFan on January 23rd, 2010 1:22 am

I'm sitting here wondering why i'm even watching this game. I just know i'm tired of seeing the resurgence of last years team, rear it's horrible ugly head! Can SOMEONE please play some defense?! Is anyone going to even try to protect the paint? I thought rebounding was going to be our focus and right now they have NO focus! And where did JT go?? Is there to much pressure for him right now? Hate to say it but the team hasn't been the same since Martin's return.

  21. khloe on January 23rd, 2010 1:25 am

I turned it off. Too sad to watch, and not good for your heart.

I'm going to go get my nails done :)

  22. initiator on January 23rd, 2010 1:31 am

I turned it off long time ago….what is going on

  23. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 23rd, 2010 1:37 am

Please put Kenny Thomas in the Game. Please. Please. Please. :)

  24. JTreke on January 23rd, 2010 1:47 am

    PISSED OFF MEN!DAMN

  25. JTKingsFan on January 23rd, 2010 1:59 am

This is just about the worst game I've ever seen….of any team. Well Kings, thanks for letting me know your not showing up to play anytime soon. At least I don't feel bad about burning this and next months season tix, it would have been a bigger waste going to the games!

  26. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 23rd, 2010 2:04 am

I love these players, but JT, DG, and SH are not contributing to the team. We need a tougher and stronger back court, a few more bigs, not just one. Trade is in the air. Let's get a bigger back court that can stop this sluggish play. Oh. Yeah. Please put KT in the game.
    Go Kings!

  27. JTreke on January 23rd, 2010 2:06 am

I hope they can comeback what did to the Bulls last Dec!

    hope so!

  28. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 23rd, 2010 2:06 am

It's the 4th quarter, Kings better get over 50. Please, someone, anyone, get aggressive and save some face on this game. Please.
    Go Kings!

  29. JTreke on January 23rd, 2010 2:36 am

    lost!

  30. khloe on January 23rd, 2010 2:45 am

what's going on with our team?! we're unraveling. :(

    and where is VICTOR?

  31. 2002* on January 23rd, 2010 2:48 am

The only time i seen them start playing , is in the final 4 mins when there down 30 . And that was only because of sergio . They looked like last years team tonight . Iam sorry , but a trade is needed . A trade needs to be made , the team does not mesh well togather . I am i the only one seeing this ?

  32. GoKingsFan_CAM on January 23rd, 2010 2:49 am

Right now I am figurativly throwing allot of imaginary chairs in my room. :) Frustrating game. Kings got dominated by the big man, Dwight Howard.
    Go Kings!

  33. 2002* on January 23rd, 2010 2:54 am

Jason and spencer remind you c-webb and vlade ????????????? what drugs are you on ? seriosly ????

  34. Alon Rosen on January 23rd, 2010 3:18 am

    Westphal gave - Westphal took!

Paul westphal is charge on recruiting Casspi and Tyreke.

The pair are all around players with the best potencial in the game.

But - Westphal with his "educational program" for Omri and "Respect games",
    just destroy anything he built.

To bench one of the pair that led you to almost 50% winnings this year
and especially the one that he's full of desire to take the Kings forward,
the one that when you backed him gave you more than 22 ppg and almost 10rpg
in 5 games in a row, just few games ago, it's not the smartes step.

Well, like i said, westphal gave - westphal took.

It's not a win-win situation, when you bench your most motivated player in the game,
    It's a lose-lose situation!

Solve all your personal differences with Omri - for his sake and your sake.
give him all the backup that tyreke gets - he will give you ability&desire&success!

  35. dug on January 23rd, 2010 3:27 am

man i was hoping we'd get under 50. trade martin now, he is losing value. play sergio. we'd still lose but at least we'd be entertaining. n wtf was anthony johnson's problem towards the end?

  36. mikebibby on January 23rd, 2010 3:32 am

Well the way we played tonight , not even worth talking about , I rather talk about the 2002 team . We were stacked . Should have kept Gerald wallace . And would rather have a injured webber , then the kenny thomas trade , that was one of the worst trades . We should of kept ron artest , we needed that defense , And the mike bibby trade , lol for atlanta garbage , yes i know it was for cap room , but those trades make the team a losing team . Look at it like this , the kings trade doug christe for cutino mobely , who left at the end of the season . CHRISTE wanted to stay , and so did the fans , THAT TRADE = fail Rick adleman …… maloofs decide to go in another direction and dont pick up adelmen , i guess that was the losing direction , THAT WAS A FAIL ! Bibby trade = fail , webber trade = fail , peja and ron were equal , but trading ron anyways , i would have been happy with peja , but ron would have been ok to . The organization , could have made better choices .

  37. 2002* on January 23rd, 2010 3:51 am

Should have let christie retire in sacramento , the organization showed bad taste in trading him .
Doug can still play better defense then the current squad .

  38. dug on January 23rd, 2010 4:04 am

Christie, my all time favorite king. webb pollard bobby vlade peja hedo man miss those dudes. no way will these kings now come even close.brockman wood def fit in with them. him n pollard wood be effin hilarious

  39. khloe on January 23rd, 2010 4:11 am

omg, the last few posts are really saaad!

poor small-market-sactown-with-no-rings :( I agree that the 2002 team was the best Kings team ever, but dwelling on things from the past..combined with this past horrendous loss (to the magic) is not going to help matters.

p.s. Doug Christie = all time favorite king by far. and yes, the organization DEFINITELY showed bad taste by trading him. His wife said he cried for days while watching old video tapes of the Kings team following the trade. ok, wow. Why I am talking about THIS now!! LOL I logged back in to tell you guys to stop rekindling old hurtful feelings about the way we "used" to be! lol ok, have a good weekend boys! XOXO

  40. Kingsfan86 on January 23rd, 2010 5:14 am

Wow that game was painful to watch, what is goin on with the kings? they looked amazing not even a month ago and now I'm just sitting there dumbfounded. I mean we can't hit anything, simple layups even, it's like I'm watchin a highscool team out there.

  41. 2002* on January 23rd, 2010 6:01 am

LOL …….Lazy , thats what it seems like ………I dont think he has the touch anymore , as he did years ago . Scouting rookies , still pro …… but finding the right players to mesh , no I mean we should have kept Gerald wallace , but iam not feeling the team . what do you think ?

  42. alonshin on January 23rd, 2010 9:01 am

it's all martin. just look at it- he was 41 minutes on court, and in those minutes sac were down 28 points.
in the only 7 minutes he sat on the bench, the kings were up 12 points! you have to be blind to miss that

it's not only martin plays bad and no defence at all, but he also makes the rest of the team look bad- messing up the chemistry, taking playing time from the talented new guys and destroy all the fun we saw in kings games until he came back.
martin must go, or at least sit on the bench.

  43. Craig on January 23rd, 2010 4:22 pm

The Kings are playing a back to back at the end of a long road trip. Perhaps Westphal is distributing the teams minutes to keep them fresh for Miami on Saturday! I think the Kings should just keep playing Kevin Martin to the end of the season and if it is working out then keep what you got and pick up a big in the off season. The Kings should be in no rush.. another round of good lottery picks in the draft and the Kings will be moving in the right direction… I am happy with the new King players and look forward to the remaining games and towards the future !! Go Kings
