With a 1 year contract, May will be motivated. Now…back to the Knicks…
    How about…
Eddy Curry (and possibly Wilson Chandler) for Kenny Thomas….
    or
Eddy Curry and Danilo Gallinari for Kenny Thomas
    or
Chris Duhon, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, and Chris Hunter for Kenny Thomas.
The Knicks need to unload if they want to keep David Lee.
All these guys are at the end of their contracts and I thinks it's worth spending a little more and getting a return on your investment than just paying Kenny Thomas to sit and contribute nothing.

Seems like the only veteran pic ups we got are May and the Rodriquez. However, their combined years in the NBA has is 6 years. Are there other veteran players we can pic up to get leadership on the team. Is Bobby Jackson coming back? I noticed he was not on the Kings Roster on ESPN. Chris Duhon has been the the league 5 years. He could offer some leadership. Curry has been in the NBA 8 years. He could be that extra center in the lane the King's need. That is an authentic verteran. Seems like Curry and Duhon could offer Kings leadership. Will D'Antonio let any of these players go?

I am in disbelief , how can the kings let themself turn into the worst team in the NBA , making it to the west finals in 02 , getting cheated by the league in game 6 and never recovered ,
I know teams go threw changes sometimes but this is getting ridiculous
not keeping rick adelman , the trades that have sent good players elsewhere why the kings just pick up a little space in the cap room , keeping kenny Thomas on the team when hes making over 9 mill , so its ok to trade bibby for cap room , but keep Thomas who sits on the bench ?
Its just a less the ordinary team , trade Thomas , make trades , show the fans that you are trying , because i see no attempt to improve the team , i just see the main focus of trying to save money . Every one i know is saying the same exact thing .

Jon, are you an idiot? What do you think the Kings have been trying to do for the past 3 years? Trying to send Kenny Thomas away for even something less than comparable. If we don't want Thomas, who else would want Thomas? This is just one of those contracts that is simply a bad contract and one that the organization has to swallow and accept. NO ONE wants KT, don't you get it? Why do I even bother responding to such nonsense…………but I do, unfortunately

The kings are dumb for getting kenny thomas in the first place. they should have jst let c webb retire in sac. now they have to put up with expensive trash like kt.

Chill people chill. What good does it do to focus on the past? The club can only focus on the present and future. Kenny Thomas was on the team when the Kings went to the playoffs. He is a good player, in my opinion. Should he be playing more if the Kings retain Thomas? Yes. In my opinion. All I would like to see is the Kings get a few more veteran players on the club, players like Curry or Duhon. Any veteran player would be good for the Kings. I believe teams need both veteran players and new players to be successful. We have to wait and see how this new team with new players gels on the court. Peace out!

Look clown , the trade that send webber away even though webber was not the same , was a bad deal .The kings should have heald out for a better deal . Since you may be to dumb to know whats going on …. the bibby trade to clear cap space , the kings signed beno , to replace bibby , and look how well that turned out , even though the kings took alot of atlanta cap space , the kings had to , to make the deal work . Besides that ….. the kings are relying on a rookie to change things around . , I am disapointed in the choices that have been made , i am still a fan , i just keep it real , and tell it like it is ….. you however may be happy with the worst record in the nba . , the point of this is , it didt have to turn out the way it did , it could have been avoided if the right choices were made . Were you even around in the glory days ? or just another bandwagon fan ?

The Kings don't need "veteran" players. They need guys that want to be there. We have had pleanty of "veterans" the last few seasons and how did that work out? All we need is guys that actually want to be here in Sacramento, instead of just waiting to collect their paycheck. This "turn-around" starts at two key positions, the coach and managment, and so far the Kings seem to be getting it right. Don't get me wrong, i know it took a while but people need to keep in mind that there is a very large business side to the NBA. And when it comes to money or a successful sports team, money will always win. But i do like the fact that the Maloofs have decided to focus on the businsess aspect and have let Geoff focus on the basketball issues. And both this draft and the hiring of Paul Westphal have been proof of that. I also want to tip my hat off to both Bobby Jackson and Matt Barnes, what they are doing is really great and guys like them deserve a lot more publicity for their work.

I only mentioned veteran players because the King's record was better with veteran players and even made it to the playoffs in 2004 and 2005. As the Kings started to trade most of their veteran players away to other teams, their record declined to the worst in NBA for the 2008-2009 season. This is only an observation, not a causitive link. Rookie players can and do show leadership on the floor, i.e. Derrick Rose. It takes talent and experience to win. I just believe that players who have been there can add leadership to any team in the NBA.

Why was Ike Diogu let go? The Kings are still pretty close to the salary cap. I am not sure they will be able to trade anyone and stay under the cap.

the kings need mike bibby, bobby jackson, doug cristie, cris webber, hedo turgulu, jon barry, kevin martin, beno, brad miller, and jon salmon to win da championship believe dat i kan tell

I agree we need players that want to be there and want to get to the Playoffs and Title Game. That is really important. Paul Westphal is a coach with a proven win record. I believe Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia will take a leading role in the King's progress. I also believe the rotation is a better match on this team then the last team. Brockman is a good addition for rebounding and May is a good post player. Tyreke and K-Mart will be valuable in terms of a scoring offense.
