Rubio is still in town? Someone give that kid tickets to Disneyland, whatever we have to do to keep him from leaving!

  2. Scottkah on June 22nd, 2009 9:39 pm

Please Please get this kid and get us back to where we use to be.. I want Arco back to the way it use to be..

  3. drew on June 22nd, 2009 9:57 pm

Will there be any footage released of his workout?

  4. Troy_Hanson on June 22nd, 2009 10:07 pm

It doesn't like we will be posting any video of the workout.
    Troy

  5. drew on June 22nd, 2009 10:09 pm

    Ok. thanks

  6. drew on June 22nd, 2009 10:09 pm

really hope we can get him!

  7. pookeyguru on June 22nd, 2009 10:12 pm

That's too bad there isn't any video. I've really enjoyed just seeing some of the workout in the brief clips that are shown. It's not that i've learned anything, really, but just to see the team willing to interact with this fanbase has been so encouraging.

  8. Pistol P. on June 22nd, 2009 10:14 pm

Please¡ Rubio must be a King

  9. Go Kings!!!!!! on June 22nd, 2009 10:15 pm

Ricky would look really tight in a Kings jersey!!!!!!!!!!!
    Go Ricky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. drew on June 22nd, 2009 10:20 pm

It is great to see clips of workouts. We're actually really lucky to see has much footage as we do, as most franchises don't release anyt draft related information to the public. I'm sure there are legitimate reasons for that, and in this case too.

  11. KingCam on June 22nd, 2009 10:36 pm

smart thing not posting his workout. i dont want memphis seeing anyhting they like from rubio or oklahoma. whether rubio is great or not, im sure he did great, is for the kings staff to see and other to wonder about.

  12. drew on June 22nd, 2009 10:51 pm

    exactly

  13. Donald on June 22nd, 2009 10:53 pm

I REALLY hope memphis or okie city takes rubio. Not to be a party pooper, but I think that he will be like a beno udrih type player

  14. Kingsfan1323 on June 22nd, 2009 11:08 pm

WHAT!?! Rbio is nothing like Udrith. He can pass and shoot, get to the basket, and not to mention hang onto the ball. Sorry Beno but Rubio is 10 times better than you and we would gladly get rid of yo and get Rubio.

  15. The Truth on June 22nd, 2009 11:31 pm

probably not because if the kings see something spectacular they dont want any of the top 3 teams to see it

  16. J.R on June 22nd, 2009 11:45 pm

Woh woh ..'shoot'? thats like his number one downisde is his shooting. so im not sure u can say "he can shoot' in regards to comparing with beno or whoever actually.
But on a lighter note, i really hope we get him- if Rubio is not available im pushin for Brandon Jennings still

  17. getPGwithbounce on June 22nd, 2009 11:46 pm

Isn't it "interesting" that the four guys who's workouts weren't posted were Rubio, Jennings, Derozan, and Harden (his was taken down)?! I think these are the "Final Four for #4"….
I'm just one guy who can't stand up to the "Rubio Army"…..so yeah, if he's at 4 ( and I still doubt it), yes you take him…if the Kings want a PG at 4 it should be Jennings (worst case scenario is that we get a shot at getting John Wall next year), and if the Kings want a SG…I liked Harden's workout (when it was still posted) but I think the Kings should take a "risk" with Derozan at 4 and try to get a PG at 23….Collison and if he's not there….Calathes.

  18. getPGwithbounce on June 22nd, 2009 11:54 pm

Totally agree about the workout videos….as a Kings fan I appreciate it….thank you!!!

  19. billojhk on June 22nd, 2009 11:54 pm

no rubio, STEPHEN CURRY!!!!!!!!!!!! watch his workout!!!!!!!!!

  20. David Spald on June 23rd, 2009 12:25 am

RUBIO COME PLAY FOR THE KINGS!!!!!! IM ON MY KNEES PRAYING EVERY NIGHT THAT WE GET RUBIO!!!!!!!!!! RUBIO IS MY HEART AND SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!! IM BEGGING YOU PICK RUBIO!!!!!!!

  21. john on June 23rd, 2009 12:56 am

If Ricky is not gone at #4, we take him. If he is gone we should go after Flynn or Evans IMO.

  22. ruetei on June 23rd, 2009 1:15 am

yes, if not rubio than get evans or curry

  23. baller559 on June 23rd, 2009 1:36 am

if rubio is gone just take curry, him and martin could light it up.martin and curry wow!!!!!!!!!it'llbe raining 3's.

  24. mmkings on June 23rd, 2009 2:16 am

If rubio is gone pls. take stephen curry his a combo guard and his a legit shooters..

  25. xabi on June 23rd, 2009 2:48 am

I think that rubio will become the best guard of nba some nearly day. he has a view game that few guards of nba have. I know good Ricky, becouse I'm a DKV Joventud supporter and I'm sure that ricky is the good opcion. NO stephen curry, YEAH RR.time to time

  26. Xabi on June 23rd, 2009 2:56 am
  27. GoKingsFan_CAM on June 23rd, 2009 2:58 am

Yes. Rubio is a good passer and play maker. Those are all good things! In the NBA you need a point Gaurd that can shoot, ie Fisher and Billups. I know that Rubio has an issue with shooting, but he can improve that.
I really believe it takes bigs to advance to the playoffs. The Lakers and Denver all had bigs and they got to the playoffs. Go figure. Rubio would energize the team, that is for sure. Is it enough to get the wins needed to have a decent record in the NBA. Derozan is a good player also. He brings athletisism and quickness the Kings need. Oh yes. He can score.
Possibly we can use the other picks 23 and 31 to get some bigs on the team. It would be good to get a team that can compete with other teams in the NBA more then we last season. Petrie and Westphal got a tough job this upcoming 2009 NBA Draft.

  28. xabi on June 23rd, 2009 3:00 am

I think that he will be the defender of the year

  29. getPGwithbounce on June 23rd, 2009 3:33 am

big man…. I like Josh Heytvelt at 31 ….shoots, blocks shots, rebounds…I think he can improve defense and get stronger….if you like Hawes….

  30. Donwer12 on June 23rd, 2009 3:45 am

What's sad is Rubio should of worked out against the rest of the talented PG's from the NCAA on Sunday…Why do they keep making him workout by himself…anyone can look good doing a single workout. It would of been the big test for Rubio to workout on Sunday, so that way they could see how he CAN'T hang. We can't draft a PG with no shot. We need Stephen Curry hands down.

  31. Cesar on June 23rd, 2009 4:23 am

Calathes is not a good choice because he signed a contract with the Greek team Olympiakos and has to play at least one year over there before coming back.

  32. Cesar on June 23rd, 2009 4:29 am

The actual people being considered for the 4 spot are Rubio, Tyreke Evans, Jonny Flynn, and I think Curry. It is weird that the workouts for the 4 you mentioned aren't posted but it's just a coinsidence. Most sources say that it's between these four Point Guards.

  33. GoKingsFan_CAM on June 23rd, 2009 5:14 am

Josh Heytvelt is a good choice. He is 6'-11", 246 pounds, and athletic.

  34. Brandon198 on June 23rd, 2009 5:34 am

The kings do have to do a Buy out of his 4 million dollar contract you know people are scared of taking him that can leave the door open for us to grab Rubio!!!!!!!

  35. GoKingsFan_CAM on June 23rd, 2009 5:41 am

DeJuan Blair is another solid big. He is 6'-6" and 277 pounds. He can play solid post up game.

  36. Livadakia on June 23rd, 2009 6:10 am

It has to be Rubio if he is there at 4. He will electrify the crowd and bring the buzz back to Arco. At worst, he will be one of the top 3 PGs taken in this draft, with high potential, and will be the most exciting next year. after him, I think Evans and/or Curry are the best bets with the most potential to be great. Evans becaue of his size and Curry because of his shooting. Flynn is 4 in my book, followed by Jennings (AI lite) and then Holiday. Take Rubio at 4, a F at 23 (Daye, Young, etc) and the most athletic, menacing big guy at 31 to come off the bench and board.

  37. Livadakia on June 23rd, 2009 6:12 am

Not a bad idea..if Rubio is not there, Kings could consider Harden at 4 and then take Collison, Calathes or Mills with either 23 or 31 and the other pick the most athletic big.

  38. Nitin on June 23rd, 2009 10:57 am

can you guys post it after the draft? even if we get him or not!?

  39. mike on June 23rd, 2009 1:51 pm

HUGE MISTAKE IF U PASS ON RUBIO, HE IS THE A FUTURE STAR.

  40. richmond02 on June 23rd, 2009 6:48 pm

Give him tickets to somewhere outside of sac to keep him from leaving sac, smart.

  41. richmond02 on June 23rd, 2009 6:50 pm

the real question is whether he looks tight out of kings jersey.

  42. kings on June 23rd, 2009 10:02 pm

    kings should take Evans

  43. JTKingsFan on June 23rd, 2009 11:06 pm

No, no and please god no. We don't want this kid! What we need is a REAL NBA ready player! We need size, strength AND IQ. Someone like an Evens, Harden, Curry or even Jennings! All of which have more NBA ready bodys than some eighteen year old boy! We don't need to take another risk, we did that with Douby and look how that turned out! You have to all remember the highlights your seeing are of an inferior basketball league! ANY NBA team would be one of the top three teams in the Spanish league! Think about it; NBA vs. Euro League, which players would you rather have on YOUR team?

  44. JTKingsFan on June 23rd, 2009 11:12 pm

Ya, if he stayed in the EURO League! He's a future Beno, average at best in the big body NBA!

  45. Donwer12 on June 23rd, 2009 11:37 pm

Finally some people that make sense ha ha Rubio isn't NBA ready at all…His stats show it all. Rubio only had 6 pts, 3 assist(even with Pau Gasol), 2 To in 29 min agianst the USA team. I could get 3 assist with Pau Gasol on my team:) Rubio has no SHOT!! Not to mention Ricky Rubio plays for Spain…He's never played with NCAA athletes. Stephen Curry is the best talent and player we can get. Steph is the best scoring talent in the NCAA…he had rite around 6 assist for the year with no talent on his team. If Steph was playin with Pau Gasol and Fernandez…I know he would of had at least 6 assist to go along with at least 20 pts. Steph can do everything Ricky can do, but Ricky can't do what Steph does. If Ricky was so great then he would of worked out with the best NCAA PG's on sunday…not another single workout on monday. If Bob Knight says Stephen Curry is the best passer in the NCAA…You best believe he would of been the best passer in the European league as well. Steph can be the leader we need as well…He never shows he's frustrated or off. I like Evans size but I question his heart and speed…Evans also needs work out his shot.

  46. Donwer12 on June 23rd, 2009 11:43 pm

Steph is NBA ready, and we can bulk him up a little just like we did with Kevin Martin. Stephs basketball IQ and leadership skills is above the rest. How great would it be to have a two guard option offense with Steph Curry and Kevin Martin. Just watch the workout video…Steph was the best. If you still doubt him then check his stats…if you still don't fall in love with him, then watch his highlights. People talk about Ricky being fun to watch, but Steph Curry even wins that battle by far. In the NCAA Tourn. Davidson was getting TV time over power house UCONN and other major college teams. Steph will sell tickets and win games…we have to get him.

  47. getPGwithbounce on June 24th, 2009 12:39 am

Not only was it a "solo" workout….but the Kings didn't run it…reports are that workout was run by Rubio/Fegan people… It's hard to stand up to all this Rubio support…but imagine if he's taken 2nd or 3rd….then what

  48. Kings916/209 on June 24th, 2009 1:54 am

Brandon Jennings would have been perfect with the Kings because of the talent surrounding him. Not only that, but our new coach would have been a great mentor and teacher for Jennings because through the hard times and good times Jennings wouldn't have to worry about looking over at the bench and just be able to play. His work ethic and learning curve will help him succeed. With the Kings, I can't see Jennings being a bust. He would have great big men to throw alley-oops too, a deadly scorer in Kevin Martin to drive and kick it out to, and a coach to improve his game… Man just thinking about this situation makes me sad…If Jennings becomes a superstar, I'm going to be sick. Sacramento doesn't get a lot of publicity and we don't have a Chris Paul, Kobe, or superstar. Kevin Martin, while the Kings best player, he lacks leadership and doesn't make the people around him better. Kobe learned quickly that just because you score 50 doesn't mean your team will win and now he makes his teammates better. ahhh what's the use…i guess i'm wasting my breath. looking back at this weak draft, jennings will be one of the standouts..

  49. getPGwithbounce on June 24th, 2009 3:03 am

Where's the love for Demar Derozan?! Kings fans, do you think it's just a coincidence that Rubio, Jennings, Harden, Derozan workouts weren't posted. Like someone in the office accidently didn't post their workout videos (oh geez maybe they forgot…durr) , or like they accidently took off Harden's workout video. Really?! Seriously?! Really?! Wait a sec….forget it…..I'm glad I'm one of the few, if not the only one, who thinks Derozan might be picked at 4!!! If Rubio is picked at 2 or 3…I'm even more sure it's Derozan/Jennings at 4… Do not make deals with OKC or Grizz!!!

  50. getPGwithbounce on June 24th, 2009 3:07 am

right on…..leadership …is being overlooked. I don't want the Kings to be the team that pass up a superstar…that's why I like Derozan and Jennings…..worst case scenario with Jennnings…Kings end up back in lottery with another 25% chance to get John Wall!!!

  51. bgordon on June 24th, 2009 5:50 am

we should take jennings at 4….take another pg at 23 as a fallback because jennings is a "risk" which i think is far from the truth. we have 3 picks this year, i mean come on…jennings is a stud with the ball in his hands and very charismatic which would make him a great leader. jennings at 4, calathes or a big like derrick brown at 23 and rodrique from france if you take a big at 23 or a big that can rebound at 31. the kings have a deep team, they just need that one piece to make it work.

  52. Joey on June 24th, 2009 5:55 am

i agree with you jennings or derozan…evans is good but a big ball hog. he is not a pg. rubio is not a superstar, he's a good role player in 4 years.

  53. Pol on June 24th, 2009 8:05 am

Woh Woh, What? RR is an excelent shooter (43% Three point is a percentage that many NBA players would dream about), what people doubt is the way he jumps when he shoots and how it will turn in the NBA.
And BTW Brandon Jennings is a lottery pick cmon, If RR is not available (big shame) there are a lot of PG that would be before Jennnings (Holiday, Flynn, Tyson).

  54. HugoSpain on June 24th, 2009 11:22 am

I agree with those who say don´t pick Rubio. I don´t want my country fellow genius-boy to get spoiled in this team, sorry but he deserves better. Please if he goes four don´t pick him, or pick him just to trade him to a better team. Thanks. No offense intended. Just my two cents.

  55. JTKingsFan on June 24th, 2009 4:31 pm

Yes PLEASE! Someone else take the little kid! In fact, NO ONE draft him! Send him packing back to his team where people think he's actually good! Does ANY NBA team really need to take that risk? There are plenty of talented points in this draft, lets get one who isn't to small to play in the big leagues! No offense, the kids just not that good.

  56. Downer12 on June 24th, 2009 5:51 pm

I would love for some other team to take Rubio!!!! I don't want him and I think he's all hype. Rubio plays in the Euro league, and he still doesn't have the stats to be a back up PG in the NBA. I would watch Steph Curry over him anyday. Rubio didn't even workout with the best PG's in the NCAA…if he would of then it would of shown that he's not ready, and can't hang. I don't wanna hear anyone say that he did good against the USA team…he had 6 pts, 3 assist(with Pau Gasol on his team), 2 TO in 29 min. I'm praying we pick Steph Curry…plz ha ha

  57. HugoSpain on June 24th, 2009 6:04 pm

It seems like I hurt somebody´s feelings. Well, truth hurts. Nice try but you´re deceiving no nobody. But I agrre with your first and second sentences. nuff said.

  58. Kings209 on June 24th, 2009 11:43 pm

Brandon Jennings 2009's draft sleeper…Teams that sleep on him are going to regret it

  59. meansbiz on June 25th, 2009 12:30 am

i heaed he wasn't all that during the workout

  60. JTKingsFan on June 25th, 2009 3:36 am

Nobody got their feelings hurt lol. And I don't need to deceive anyone! I've been a Kings fan since 85 and loved this beautiful game even longer! It's ok to be loyal, but when your loyal to a fault, your blinded by the real truth. As I said, I love this team, but Beno is no starter and the Kings have made poor draft/trade decisions before. I just don't want to see yet another, in an overrated point. If you were a Kings fan you would understand! Hopefully for you he'll stay in Spain though.

  61. JTKingsFan on June 25th, 2009 3:39 am

He's an interesting prospect, even though his shots almost as bad as Rubios. Trouble is T. Even has a better body and S. Curry has an as good if not better basketball IQ. You never know though, the kids got talent!

  62. Downer12 on June 25th, 2009 4:18 am

T Evans does have good size, but he's not that quick side to side because of it. The huge problem with T Evans is he doesn't play with HEART…that;s huge. How can you be a leader PG, when you quit on plays or don't hustle. His size won't get him as far in the NBA like it does in the NCAA. Watch the video of T Evans closing out really slow with no effort…He also gives up on a defensive help/rebound. The first workout with T Evans was a disappointment for the Kings…that's why they had a second one. Evans didn't show up in the first one. I don't ever question Steph Curry's heart…the kid is a gym rat. Steph has to good of a shot not to be. Steph always talks about how hard he will work to be the best he can be…that's the kind of effort and leadership we need. People overlook Stephs basketball IQ and leadership skills because he's such a great scorer. PLZ DRAFT STEPH CURRY

  63. Cesar on June 25th, 2009 4:53 am

What about Jonny Flynn. He is arguably the best leader in this draft and he is more NBA ready than Jennings.

  64. HugoSpain on June 25th, 2009 10:44 am

Well said. But in the end there is only one way to find out: Time will tell.

  65. shawn on July 8th, 2009 6:51 am

lakers are the worst team ever thats because kobe is there i bet when kobe retires lakers will be worst then the la clippers and kings will be the best team again like thay use to be who thinks lakers are good team because of kobe dont lie if you are a kings fan
