Kings Attend Draft Workout in Santa Monica
May 22, 2009 by Troy Hanson
Kings basketball executives Wayne Cooper and Jason Levien were down in Santa Monica today checking out a pair of draft workout sessions at St. Monica High School. The workouts featured (in no particular order) Wayne Ellington (North Carolina), Gerald Henderson (Duke), Josh Shipp (UCLA), DaJuan Summers (Georgetown), and James Johnson (Wake Forest) as well as Jimmy Baron (Rhode Island), Ryan Ayers (Notre Dame), K.C. Rivers (Clemson), and Aaron Jackson (Duquesne).
Wayne had this to say about the workouts … “This really provided a great opportunity to see a nice mix of players in one setting with a good workout format. There was definitely some talent there. It was well worth the trip.”

This could be a very interesting number 4 pick for the Kings. Here is the way I think the King's might get Rubio. First, the LA Clippers will take Griffin as they have already said. Next, Memphis needs a center so chances are they will take Thabeet. Finally, Oklahoma already has an outstanding point guard in Westbrooke and may select a PF or SG. Wishful thinking but it could happen .
hope your right man….
James Johnson is a player I would LOVE to see the Kings draft. This guy is going to be a special player with his toughness and ball handling skills
why did the kings took everybody trash?
