Rookie Lesson Revisited

March 9, 2009 by Andrew Nicholson

Always preaching the importance of accountability, Kings veteran Bobby Jackson gave rookie Donté Greene a refresher on the importance of bringing the team fresh fruit for practices.

After fellow rookie and teammate Jason Thompson failed to bring the team bagels earlier in the season, resulting in his SUV being filled with popcorn, Greene vowed he would never let his teammates down in similar fashion.

Apparently the late nights associated with being a new father caught up with Greene, as it wasn’t the first time he forgot the fruit and Jackson decided it was time to hold the rookie accountable.

Although Greene was able to drive away without having to call for a detailer to clean out his ride, unlike Thompson, his teammates did their part to assist him by replenishing their carbohydrates after a tough practice.
